Biography
Bill has been acting professionally on stage - in film and television - since he was a young boy. He received a B.A in Theatre from Oregon State University where he was on an acting scholarship and was awarded the Best Actor Award. Bill has a Masters degree in Theatre (acting concentration) from the University of Illinois where he was on an acting fellowship. Furthermore he was nominated for the Bush Fellowship Foundation Award by the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre and the University of Illinois.
Bill was thrilled to have studied with the late Uta Hagen (who up to several years ago was considered the world's greatest living actress and teacher) and has most recently studied with Larry Moss, who is touted by many to be the world's foremost acting coach.
Bill recently studied the Meisner technique with William Alderson, who is one of the few true teachers of the Meisner today. Mr Alderson recently directed Bill as the lead in the play Clevingers Trial at the Alderson Studio Theatre. Furthermore he has enjoyed very much teaching acting classes for U.C.L.A.
Bill was priveleged to have played the leading role in Emerald Tree Boa, a Mark Taper Forum Production directed by Tony award winner Mark Medoff (Children of a Lesser God) and played the lead opposite the late Lynn Thigpen (Tony award winner-Best Actress 1999) in the play, The Madman and the Nun.
